Paruvu is an 2024 Indian Telugu Thriller streaming television series directed by Siddharth Naidu & Vadlpati Rajashekar and produced by Vishnu Prasad Laggisetty & Susmitha Konidela for ZEE5.[1][2] The series features Nivetha Pethuraj and Naresh Agastya along with Nagendra Babu, Ramesh, Sunil Kommisetty, Praneetha Patnaik, Rajkumar Kasireddy and Amit Tiwari in key roles.[3] Paruvu deals with honour killing as a theme.[4] It is schedule to premiere on June 14, 2024.[5]
Synopsis[edit]
In Paruvu, which translates to "Honor," star-crossed lovers break tradition and elope. Back in their hometown, a dark secret awaits, forcing them to fight for their lives. Trapped in a web of clan rivalries, fueled by pride, politics, and social status, they face a desperate struggle. With only their wits and a touch of luck, they must survive a dangerous 24 hours. Unforeseen twists and turns threaten not only their existence but also the core of their community.

Production[edit]
The series was announced as a part of ZEE5s future slate of content in June 2022.[8][9] Well known filmmaker Pavan Sadineni stepped in as the show runner for the series.[10].[11]
Marketing[edit]
The trailer of the show was released on Jun 2, 2024 by Telugu filmstar Varun Tej.[12][13] A day before the launch of the trailer, the female lead of the show, a video of Nivetha Pethuraj having an altercation with a policeman went viiral. It was later ascertained that the video was a publicity gimmick to bring attention to the show[14][15] Paruvu is schedule to premiere on June 14, 2024.[16]

The series is scheduled for a worldwide release on June 14, 2024.[17] It has also been dubbed in Tamil.[18]
