Píše naše absolventka z Glasgow Kirsten McMullan: 


Náhodou jsem narazila na příspěvek na Facebooku, ve kterém studentka filmových studií z Edinburghu hledá účastníky pro svůj výzkumný projekt, a zapojila jsem se do něj. Byl to příjemný zážitek – zhlédla jsem dva filmy („Ladybird“ a „Identity Card“) a absolvovala rozhovor s touto velmi milou dívkou. Napadlo mě, jestli byste mohli tento příspěvek přeposlat nebo sdílet na sociálních sítích s kýmkoli, kdo by měl zájem se zúčastnit – podařilo se jí získat už docela dost skotských účastníků, ale má potíže sehnat dostatek Čechů!


I stumbled across a Facebook post looking for participants in this research project by a Film Studies Student in Edinburgh and took part in her project, which was a lovely experience - 2 films to watch (Ladybird & Identity card) and an interview with this very nice girl. I was wondering if you would be willing to pass this blurb on/share on social media to anyone who might be interested in taking part - she's managed to get quite a lot of Scottish participants, but is struggling to get enough Czech's on board!


Her name is Katerina Zabecka, and she's based in Edinburgh.

As part of my Film Studies PhD, I’m exploring how films make us feel and how those emotions shape our sense of identity and belonging. If you enjoy watching films (of any kind!), your perspective in the empirical part of my research would be incredibly valuable. The research focuses on real audience experiences—how we connect with films, think about them, and share them with others.

What’s involved? I am looking for participants for either or both:
ONLINE SURVEY
- Approx. 15–30 minutes, depending on your engagement
- Questions about a recent film that had an impact on you
- Open to anyone aged 18+

INTERVIEW
- Open to people from American, British or Czech culture only, aged 18+
- Questions about your film experiences, feelings, and reflections
- Watching 2 pre-selected films with access provided
- 0.5-1 hour one-to-one interview
